Hi everyone, I'm just notifying people that my long awaited back order of stainless pellet probes for Ultra (bolt action NOT MMC type), Scorpion, R10 and Goldstar are back in stock, I have some customers who will be directly informed because they have been asking me when they will be available but if anyone else requires one both myself and Darrin at XTX Air have them available.
Thanks to everyone who has been patiently waiting, I hope we won't have any future delays in supply!

£30 plus p&p, that will be £2.50 for 1st class  recorded delivery. I'll send them via other methods if you want but unless you need one guaranteed by 9am 1st class recorded is fine in my experience, I have proof of posting, somebody signs for it at your end, it's insured and generally 1st class recorded gets it there next day (maybe 2 days if you're in the Highlands and 3 days for the Islands).

Hi, I have an Ultra SE, is there a problem lurking with the original probe that I'm obviously unaware of or is the stainless just smoother to operate.
Thanks
John

The nickel plating on the standard probe flakes off causing nickel flakes to grind into the probe bearing, hammer bearing and cause undue wear. Pellet probe seal, magazine O ring and even the barrel suffer as flakes of nickel are hard enough to wear steel. Stainless doesn't flake, it doesn't rust and should last forever (with reasonable care).

It's just a matter of time before the nickel plating starts to wear and flake.
