Hello all , just popping in to say hi . Been shooting most of my youth with a variety of airguns but unfortunately stopped for a number of years . I recently got back into shooting and now have a number of old Springer's and last year got myself a second hand R10 MK2 and I am loving it .

Hi all,
Quick intro from myself. Been shooting for a while now, coming up to nearly 40 years on and off and always had a BSA of some sort. Still got my air sporter. Moved onto PCPs, as you do, with a MK2 R10. Recently saved a MK1 Meteor from the skip and got that running again. Currently considering either a scorpion SE or ultra SE but can't decide which on that one. I've read every review to death and still undecided on which one. Hope to gleen some knowledge from other users at some point hopefully. All the best.

Hi guys (and gals if any)
Phil Martin from Charnock Richard near Chorley, been into air rifles since getting Webley hawk as a kid back in 1980, have had a few BSA's (Meteor, super meteor, lightning, scorpion, lightning SE, and most recently a Lightning SE GRT) I must have been one of the lucky ones as I've only had dramas with the scorpion all the springers where pretty dammed good, the Super Meteor was tuned whilst I served in Germany by Hienmann Shutzensport and broke my heart to sell it when I returned to UK and fell on hard times after leaving the army. My current models Lightning SE and the SE GRT are superb, just find them very pellet fussy. I'm looking to get a new permission local to myself as I work abroad and have a 9/3 week rotation so I'm only home for 3 weeks after every 9 weeks (deep joy) also looking for a bit of advice on stripping the lightning as I've never had one apart before, although I have stripped and fettled lots of other makes.
Hope to make a few friends here and have a laugh along the way, stay safe all regards Phil

BSA Lightning Brum built long before Gamo days. Wish I still had it.

BSA Mercury MK1 circa 1971/2 as a Christmas gift from my granddad. I can see him now marching through the snow on his way home from work just before Christmas, brew can in one hand , brown parcel tied with string under his arm.

I was sure I was getting the lesser Meteor ? I was amazed I got the Mercury !

Memory lane was revisited when I picked a nice low use boxed one up 40 plus years later.

Happy days , and it feels just like it did in my hands all those years ago.
