Just taken the plunge after being paid by work.  Shocked

Spotted it at the local RFD a few weeks ago and have been spellbound since. The quality is, no lie, comparable to my ex 97k! Have had no chance to pellet test or put to group but shot a few off when i got it home. The spring is release with a nice thunk! It has a strangely finished stock on it but i love it. There is even a free silencer adapter included in the box should you wish to fit one. Whatever BSA have done with their quality control, this beats my 2 year old XL hands down. Black blueing and an amazing little pice of engineering. A review and write up will follow but first signs are very promising.

EDIT: It's in .177 of course!

Mark.

I saw these on the bsa web site and wondered why they are not more popular, a lovely looking gun, i'd like to see that Mark.

Cheers Simon.

I like the look of these guns but have not seen one for sale anywhere yet, the only thing that put me off was BSA's booker fiction prize winner power output stats ,that they have on their catalogues and website which reckons it only put out 10ftlbs, I already have a plinker/target and a full power hunter and just want a rare walnut springer now and i'll be happy.

i said i would be happy with just the one when i bought my lightning but then you see something else and the list slowly grows! I am a tad confused over BSA's power claims. The description marks it down as a mid-powered target or hunter trainer rifle. When compared with the lightning however, the velocity figures for each caliber are identical for both rifles.  Simon, i will bring it to the next comp for a plink on the zero range.
