!!! Feedback for XTX !!!
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:42:08 AM »

Darrin XTX did a great job making up my r-10 fill port dust plugs-great fit and finish. He did me a great courtesy and shipped them safely all the way to Atlanta Georgia USA... Thanks again Darrin and I'd do business with him anytime...

Glad they worked, bit risky doing things remotely.

Very good transaction with Ian, quick payment, would not hesitate to deal with him again.

I used Darrin's services to sort my r10 out as I was at a stage where I could have happily buried it and forget all about it!
Darrin sorted everything from a bent barrel, inconsistent regulator, low shot count, stiff bolt/ cocking action and smoothing the trigger out.
Whilst Darrin had my r10 he also reworked my stock so now I have an adjustable comb (cheek piece), a shorter shroud, a threaded barrel, a fill port dust cap and an adaptor that allows my silencer to blend with the shroud.
I have absolutely no reservation recommending Darrin's work to others, his attention to detail is second to none as is his skill and quality of workmanship. In fact, we are currently discussing further works that I would like Darrin to perform on my r10, which says it all really.
My r10 is now the rifle BSA "WISHED" they could make!

Got my r10 back from Darrin earlier this week and its spot on now. He sorted the power out as it had crept up, done some tuning work to sort the inconsistency out, shortened the shroud and machined my twink to fit the shroud. I'm well pleased with Darrin's work and wouldn't hesitate to send things to him to work on again. He's very helpful and you really couldn't ask for a nicer person to deal with.

I collected my R10 from Darrin earlier today, and from the few shot's I've taken since getting back home, it feels like he gave me a different rifle happy0065
He has tuned it up and sorted out a few other issues as well.
Highly recommend his work to any R10 owner, and he's a very nice chap to deal with.

Cheers Darrin worshipper

I would like to thank Darrin publicly for helping me via PMs to strip and sort out a valve problem. Nothing was too much trouble for him and it gave me the confidence to do a bit of tuning to the valve, it is more consistant, produces a full 12fpe
and is a pleasure to shoot, before it was only fit for short range plinking. A very nice guy and a good geezer!!!  thanks998

My regards, Makis Stimatis

Sent XTX a p.m regarding my R10's problem and he rang me within minutes and talked me through the process of trying to fix my gun,i foolishly thought i'd fixed it but come the next day it was still knackered so i thought to myself, right then back to BSA you go.As it was bank holiday i managed to get it back to the rfd on saturday but the day before XTX rang me to see how the gun was and i told him it'll have to go back and to be fair to him he agreed and we ended up chatting for ages about different things, mainly guns but i will definately be sending it to him when he's ready. One of the nicest guys i've spoke to and very honest and most helpful. Thanks mate.

« Reply #27 on: May 06, 2011, 11:13:35 AM »

I spent most of the day yesterday with darrin and it was a pleasure to meet him.
I would recommend his work to anyone on the forum.

Nothing is to much for him and he even put up with me looking over his shoulder all the time and asking questions.

The only small detail that was wrong was the fact darrin had the wrong SKY TV PACKAGE for pinkykid5x5 but she did say his tea was nice (and she did find a mcdonalds)

Once again many thanks darrin
