Dear fellow member,

This dedicated BSA forum is for YOU! Please feel free to use all sections to glean whatever information you can to broaden your knowledge & enjoyment of BSA guns.
ALL members on here are on an equal footing so don't be to shy to start posting.
Remember though that your post of probably only a few lines will be read by many, so choose your words carefully & reread before posting, the last thing you want to do is offend or upset anyone.
Treat everyone with the respect & good manners you would expect yourself & use only the language you would use if talking "face to face" with a friend!
Ask any question you like, discuss any topic you like, keep it friendly & stay up late!

And whilst we don't want to get heavy, members are required to abide by the following rules:
  • Threats, insults, character defamation or libel will not be tolerated
  • Only one account per user
  • The individual member is responsible for all posts placed under their user id
  • No personal information should be displayed on the forum (IE phone numbers)
    • No member is allowed to post on behalf of a banned member
    • Members advertising items for sale must display their postal town in their profile
    • Swearing in posts is banned as we have younger members (avoid using xxx's in place of swearing as well)
    • Pictures of dead animals can only be posted in the Hunting board in the gallery.  They will be deleted from other areas.

The forum management reserve the right to edit or delete any post that is considered inappropriate.
The forum management reserve the right to ban any member at any time.

From the moderators of the BSAOG forum.

It has come to the attention of the moderators of this board that we have had numerous complaints from various members about posts written by Talisker55.
The moderators have had to edit his posts due to his use of bad language, his bad moral attitude to hunting and the wounding of prey, the use of unsuitable (for humane killing) arms and ammunition for hunting, his persistent posts about the use and manufacture of illegal (in the USA) silencers being some of his blatant infringement of the "forum etiquette". If anyone hasn't read it when they first joined, please read it now, http://bsaog.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=50.0

After sending warnings (via PM) from the moderators about bad language and attitude and a reminder to read the above post if he hadn't already read it, he still persists with a confrontational and condescending attitude to other board members, carrying on with his use of bad language even after warnings.
This is a family forum.
We can't expect to last long if we allow such posts to continue.
The forum etiquette post is basically an outline of the terms and conditions by which we use this site. Anybody signing up to post on this site will be assumed to have read and accepted those conditions. They're fair and reasonable, if you don't agree then maybe this site is not for you.

Seeing as Talisker55 has refused to heed moderators warnings about his posts, he is to be banned for life from posting here. We don't wish to be associated with the irresponsible behaviour he posts about. His details will be forwarded to the moderators of other sites in case he registers elsewhere and continues his unacceptable behaviour.
We hope you understand our position and our actions, it's for the good of shooters generally, not just the UK shooters, as his posts have caused complaints from members in many other countries, the US included. We suffer enough negative press as it is, we don't want examples such as Talisker55 quoted as being the "general opinion, attitude and conduct" of air weapon users. He appears to be a member of a minority who continue to gain the majority of responsible shooters bad press.

This will remain attached to the "forum etiquette" post as an example of how members who don't abide by the general etiquette of the site will be dealt with.

Anyone posting threats or airing complaints about other boards or moderators on this board may find they are in breach of our terms of use. Threats, insults, character defamation or libel will not be tolerated and may be edited or deleted by our moderators.
If you are found to contravene our terms of use with a post expect a warning at the very least.
You have been warned, now behave!
This is a family forum after all, consider that somebody else's kids may be reading it.
