Pay & Post
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:30:48 AM »

Just came up with the idea of Pay & post. Let me give you an example. recently been looking for a huggett shroud and the nearest supplier is Solware in Tamworth, about 160 mile round trip for me. and my nearest rfd is 35 mile round trip.
so I have the cost of the rfd plus petrol plus post which would proberly add £30 plus pounds on my shroud.. But if we had a data base of local members in tamworth or anywhere country who we could send the cost (via paypal as gift) of any item plus p+p , and at their convenience pick up and post on. which I think would benefit a lot of members.
Could even have just a page of registered memers , like a wanted page.. eg, "wanted pickup at solware pm George"

Thanks George.

Sounds like a good idea especially with the hassle it is to use Royal Mail / Parcel force
