Which Airguns are made in Birmingham.
« on: September 30, 2016, 12:22:42 PM »

I'm just wondering, which airguns currently in the BSA line up are actually machined and assembled in the UK.
OK I know a lot of companies out source. So if you said, for springer - needed to be machined, barrel, cylinder then that's the largest chunk of metal.

I know all the PCP are Birmingham made, but what springers if any.

Scorpion T10 .177 rat works tuned & regged
Airsporter S Mk1 .22 -Airsporter Mk2 .22 -Merlin .177 & others to many to list.
just cant get enough of BSA's

ultra stu

The only thing I can be sure of is the barrels, I get the impression that a lot of the components are made by Gamo or some other source & just assembled in Birmingham. I don't know for sure though, but if you watch this video, looking at the machinery in the background around the factory, there isn't much evidence of a lot of metal work. Of course there could be a separate building that the camera doesn't visit just full of CNC equipment & lathes busy fabricating stuff.
