Thanks for the feedback James, pleasure doing business with you. Can you tell me if you've fitted a spacer between the stock and the plate? I was assuming the platre would be flush to the back of the stock?
I don't actually have one of these stocks to check if the back is flat, I was just working from a template from a previous plate I made for somebody else's T10.
Glad you're happy, thanks for posting pics!

No, I don't have a spacer fitted. The slight gap is even present when the BSA butt plate is on, theres a small indent that runs all the way round as part of the design.

Still looks good I think, and it makes a massive difference, much more comfortable to shoulder the rifle now. ;D

Thanks again,

James.

Hmm! You've got me thinking now, whiteline spacer anyone? Or a black spacer just the thickness of the gap? That's if I can get a tracing of or borrow a T10 stock for a while...

Thanks to RT from me also.

Got the Simmons scope, just eyed it up in the car park, on 6.5 mag and 25yds on the AO its unbelievably clear from 12 to 50 yards.

You always worry a bit when you buy an older item unseen, but it was in lovely nick , although obviously well used.

The turrets click like they were made yesterday  ;D

And of course it was wrapped like you do your 5 years birthday present if you want to watch a performance, it took knives and much tearing of paper with bare hands to get the thing out  happy0065

Cheers for the deal RT

Simmons used to make excellent glassware, the only reason I moved on from this scope was I needed a mildot reticule. Clarity and image is of the quality of a Bushy 3200 or very nearly so.
As you say, it's been well used but never abused.
Cheers Dave, hope you enjoy shooting with it.

S10's are well worth keeping going, I can't stand to see one needing a bit of attention to get it shooting again.

went to Toms club at one time before the drunk Irish bloke put me off.Tom was very friendly and very helpful.Didn't realise at the time his celebrity status worshipper or that his knowledge was so extensive.all in all a very amicable and talkative chap, made me feel most welcome.

Hi Jerry, long time! I don't go there any more myself for various reasons, mainly it's too expensive for a plinking range, no proper HFT targets to practice so not much use to me.
Glad I made you feel welcome, where do you shoot now? PM me if it's "confidential"?
Cheers,

Wherever there's a competition on (Daystate Midlands Hunter this weekend at Purley Chase), or practice at Old Downs HFT, Driffield, near Ashton Keynes.
